Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Liger Yu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takeru Toyokawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Liger Yu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takeru Toyokawa!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Hirohito Nitta and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yu delivers a nice body kick.
Yu tries to clinch but Toyokawa is having none of it.
Yu lands a high kick!

It looks like Takeru Toyokawa has been cut.
Yu takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Yu has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Toyokawa scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Yu tries to clinch up but Toyokawa circles away and keeps his distance.
Yu fails with an attempt to clinch.
Toyokawa rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Yu moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Toyokawa fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Toyokawa cracks Yu with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Yu ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Toyokawa moves away.
Yu tries to clinch up.
Yu dodges the punch combination from Toyokawa.
Yu throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Toyokawa misses with a low kick.
Yu scoring well with a low kick there.
Yu tries to clinch there but Toyokawa circles away.
Toyokawa will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Toyokawa misses with a kick to the body
and Yu counters with a head kick. That will keep Toyokawa thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Toyokawa misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Toyokawa moves out of range as Yu throws a body kick.
Yu is looking to clinch but Toyokawa is avoiding it.
Yu takes a swing at Toyokawa's ribcage but misses.
Yu throws a nice looking combination but Toyokawa bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A lazy left from Toyokawa finds it's target.
Yu takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Toyokawa throws a right and a left that both miss.
Yu throws a big shot that misses.
Toyokawa takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Yu walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Toyokawa checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Yu lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Liger Yu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Yu tries a head kick but it misses.
Yu takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Horrible takedown by Toyokawa or perhaps it was just good defense by Yu which made him look bad.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Toyokawa!
Good work by Yu as he checks the leg kick.

Toyokawa throws a series of strikes that have Yu backpedaling.

Yu is rocked!
Toyokawa swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Toyokawa scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Oh Yu is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Toyokawa lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Yu falls backwards - clearly groggy! Toyokawa dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Takeru Toyokawa!
