Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ray Machine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shaq Double J (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machine comes to the cage accompanied by Stupid KId. Double J has chosen GSP - Im not impressed as his entrance music. Shaq Double J has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Ray Machine's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Ray Machine!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 1, fighting out of London, Shaq Double J!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Atkins and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Machine looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Double J!
Double J really wants to buck Machine off and get back to his feet.
Double J is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Double J is squirming around, avoiding Machine's attempts to control the action.

Machine stands up from mount. Strange move.

Double J looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Machine!
Machine is looking to get to half guard.

Double J thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Double J misses with a head shot.
Machine really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Double J throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Machine because Double J loaded up on that one.

Double J is landing with some decent strikes but Machine is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Machine is in all sorts of trouble here.
Double J lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Double J is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Machine can't stay in a position like this for much longer.


Machine is rocked!
Machine tries to reverse the position but Double J maintains control.
Machine wants to hold on but Double J pushes him away.
Double J lands a heavy elbow.
Double J fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Oh Machine is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

The referee warns Machine that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Machine seems to have got his legs back now.
Machine is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Double J sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Machine gets back to half guard.
Double J landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Double J moves into full mount! Machine won't be happy about that!
Double J avoids the attempt from Machine to control.
Double J cracks Machine with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Machine is desperately trying to improve his position but Double J has a good base and remains in mount.
Double J misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Double J connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Machine squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

Machine holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Double J tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Machine gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Machine trying to keep a closed guard but Double J is proving a slippery customer.
Double J wants to pass the guard but Machine is keeping the position.
Double J has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Machine has momentary wrist control but Double J slips an elbow through the middle.

Double J throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Machine works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Machine wants to get back to his feet but Double J is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Double J postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Double J gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Machine counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Double J is breathing heavily.
Machine is keen to just control but Double J is a slippery customer.

Machine is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Double J has managed to free his arm - good work.

Machine is working for a kimura but Double J is defending it quite comfortably.

Machine is pressing down on Double J's thigh, looking to free his foot. Double J is holding on for now.

Machine is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Machine is trying to control. Double J wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Double J wants to get back to his feet.
Machine thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Double J to regain full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Double J is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Machine's half guard.

Double J wants to free his trapped foot but Machine is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Machine keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Double J throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Double J looks to land a strike but Machine avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Double J won't allow Machine to get back to his feet.
Machine is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Double J wants to pass the guard but Machine is keeping the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Double J misses with a takedown attempt

and Machine counters with a shoot takedown. Double J fights it but they end up in guard.
Double J is looking to stand up but Machine isn't so interested in that idea.

Machine stands and steps away. Double J gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ray Machine dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!


Double J misses with a takedown attempt

and Machine counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Double J!
Machine scoring with strikes but Double J is staying in there.

Machine with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Machine has hold of Double J's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Double J manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Double J is desperately trying to improve his position but Machine has a good base and remains in mount.
Machine wants to control the pace but Double J is squirming around nicely.
Double J takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Machine stands up from mount. Strange move.

Machine changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Double J looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Machine tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Machine has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Double J wants to control but Machine postures up.

Machine is trying to get an arm triangle but Double J is defending well.

Machine decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Double J has his takedown stuffed

and Machine counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Machine looking to pass the guard.
Double J bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Machine's guard.
Machine keeping moving, preventing Double J from controlling successfully.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Double J stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Machine swivels though and keeps the full guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Machine holds on and takes a little breather.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Machine is on top in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Machine is really struggling to control Double J but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Double J utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Machine tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Double J paws at him with a jab and circles away.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ray Machine showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Machine has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
