Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dim Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ran Sakamoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sakamoto is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Wu tang tiger style. Ran Sakamoto is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ran Sakamoto!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mir misses with a jab, cross combination.
Sakamoto shoots in for a takedown but Mir shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Sakamoto shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mir sprawls well. Mir wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sakamoto gets slowly back to his feet.

Sakamoto bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Dim Mir has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ran Sakamoto.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Sakamoto fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
A decent looking cross lands there for Mir.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Sakamoto shoots for a double leg takedown but Mir sprawls well. He's pushed Sakamoto's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sakamoto changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mir tries to avoid it but Sakamoto manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mir to the ground. Mir escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Mir throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Sakamoto moves out of range of the strikes.
Mir scores with a nice head shot.
Mir really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Mir throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sakamoto sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Mir is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mir pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Mir wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Mir lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mir throws the left hand but Sakamoto avoids the punch easily.
Mir throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Mir throws a looping overhand right but Sakamoto ducks down to avoid it.

And that's the end of the fight!
Dim Mir showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Mir has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
