PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Three Monts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Oxbigg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Mike Oxbigg was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Bruno Hogan and Eliza Hachem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monts shoots in but Oxbigg avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Oxbigg doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Monts holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Oxbigg tries to pull guard but Monts holds him up against the cage and eventually Oxbigg drops back down to his feet.
Oxbigg jumps guard but Monts stands there with Oxbigg around his waist. Oxbigg gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Three Monts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Oxbigg.

Monts moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Oxbigg has worked his arm free - good work by Oxbigg!

Monts is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Oxbigg knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Monts escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Oxbigg gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That was a close round but I would say that Three Monts will probably get the nod.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Oxbigg looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Monts! Submission of the night perhaps?
