Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Battling Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Sackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Bob might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Ace of Base - Beautiful Life. Battling Bob has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Battling Bob!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Andrew Sackson!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Paulo Santos and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bob misses with a few strikes there.
Sackson misses with a combination

and Bob moves into the clinch.
Sackson tries to break the clinch but Bob is controlling the position.

Bob has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Sackson regains guard immediately.
Bob landing with the ground and pound.
Sackson wants to stand up but Bob is controlling him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sackson is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Bob dives into side control.
Sackson is trying to buck Bob off.
Sackson is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Sackson throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
Andrew Sackson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Sackson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Bob slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Bob lands an elbow.
Sackson is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Bob wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sackson keeps working.
Bob creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sackson tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Bob cracks Sackson with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Bob is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Sackson is surviving well by controlling Bob's body position as best he can.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bob won't let Sackson get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Bob looking to finish Sackson with some ground and pound. This is bad for Sackson!
Sackson is trying to stand.
Sackson looks gassed!
Bob scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Bob putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!


Sackson is rocked!
Bob trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Sackson is still in real trouble! Can Bob finish him?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sackson is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Sackson seems to have recovered his senses.
Bob has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Sackson's face.

Bob is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Sackson is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Sackson flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Bob anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Sackson and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Bob slips an arm under Sackson chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Bob has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Bob is squeezing on Sackson like an anaconda would it's prey. Sackson fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Battling Bob!
