Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Ellison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thompson has chosen All In The Family as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson tries to clinch up.
Thompson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ellison paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Ellison tries for a takedown but Thompson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Ellison.
Ellison shoots in for a takedown but Thompson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Thompson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ellison paws at him with a jab and circles away.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Ellison has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Thompson has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
