Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gregory Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyrone Big Dog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Big Dog has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Big Dog shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Silva as he avoids it easily.
Silva throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Big Dog tries for a takedown but Silva sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Big Dog closes this distance looking for a takedown but Silva circles away.
Gregory Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyrone Big Dog.
Silva throws the kick towards the body but Big Dog avoids it.
Silva fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Big Dog checks it well.

Big Dog shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Silva sprawls well. Silva wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Big Dog gets slowly back to his feet.

A nice leg kick lands there from Silva.

Big Dog fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Silva feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Big Dog's calf.

Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up but Big Dog swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Silva goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Silva closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Silva takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Silva passes the guard and advances to mount!
Big Dog is in a horrible position here. Silva smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
