Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shane Tanner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Odin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tanner comes into the arena with Billy Idol's Rebel Yell blaring out of the sound system. Shane Tanner had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Shane Tanner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Matt Odin!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Aleksandr Martynov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Odin shoots in but no luck this time.
Tanner gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Odin counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Odin.

You can see the frustration on Tanner's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

I really don't envy Tanner right now.
Tanner is covering up but some of the strikes from Odin are getting through and doing damage.
Tanner rolls, trying to escape but Odin keeps control of the position.

Odin bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Tanner's guard.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Tanner connects with a nice short shot to Odin's temple.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Tanner shoots in and drives through. Odin sprawls well.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Tanner has his foot on Odin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Odin works his way back into a safe position though.
