Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Captain Evil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Logan Xoom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evil scores with a one two! Xoom had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

It looks like Logan Xoom has been cut.

Xoom shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Evil is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Xoom misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

You get the feeling that Evil really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Evil's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Evil is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Evil is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Xoom is trying to escape and Evil transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Xoom is forced to tap! Nice work there by Evil! Very nice indeed!
