PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Per Mies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Repe Sorsa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Mies might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Metallica- Enter Sandman. Per Mies had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Per Mies!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Repe Sorsa!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sorsa closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Mies fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sorsa manages to avoid it.
Sorsa changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mies tries to avoid it but Sorsa manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mies to the ground. Mies escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Sorsa shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Sorsa was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Sorsa is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Mies to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Mies shrugs it off.
Mies knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sorsa on the ground.
Sorsa misses with a head shot.
Sorsa with shots to the head and body - Mies looks very uncomfortable down there.
Mies tries to buck Sorsa off but he can't manage it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sorsa can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mies is looking to escape.

Sorsa wants to control the pace but Mies is squirming around nicely.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sorsa tries to control but Mies wriggling away.
Mies is trying to stand up.
Sorsa looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Mies covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
