Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucio Abdias (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marizio Da Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Da Souza lands a two punch combo.

Abdias gets the takedown into side control.
Abdias advances nicely into full mount.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Da Souza wants to try and get back to his feet.

Abdias moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

It looks like Marizio Da Souza has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A nice leg kick lands there from Da Souza.

Abdias pushes Da Souza up against the cage in a clinch.
Abdias is working for takedown but Da Souza is calmly controlling the position for now.
Abdias tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Da Souza smiles and moves away.
Abdias is breathing heavily.
Abdias fails with an attempt to clinch.

Da Souza throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Marizio Da Souza is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Abdias shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Da Souza pinned against the cage. Da Souza gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lucio Abdias. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Da Souza throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Abdias.
Abdias shoots in looking for a takedown. Da Souza tries to sprawl out of it but Abdias keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Da Souza manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Abdias shoots for a takedown but Da Souza saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Abdias steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Da Souza. That one must have hurt.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Da Souza plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Da Souza connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Abdias's hands.
Da Souza fails to land with a series of punches.
Da Souza throws a one two combo.
Abdias takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Da Souza misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Lucio Abdias seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Abdias fails with a takedown attempt.
Abdias takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Da Souza digs a good body shot into Abdias's ribs.
Da Souza lands a head shot.
Da Souza lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Abdias takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Abdias fails with a takedown attempt.
Da Souza lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Abdias circles away quickly and effectively.
Abdias tries to clinch up but Da Souza circles away and keeps his distance.
Da Souza scores with a hook to the body. Abdias takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Abdias shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Da Souza as he avoids it easily.
Da Souza lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Abdias backs up against the cage.
Da Souza lands with a kick to the temple. Abdias shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Abdias shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Abdias showed some decent athleticism there.
Abdias passes the guard and advances to mount!

Abdias wants to finish this one by submission but Da Souza is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Abdias.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Da Souza is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

Abdias working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Da Souza turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Abdias off and cradles Da Souza's limp body as Abdias celebrates with his corner.
