Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Matt Mica (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaleb Strader (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mica is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Kaleb Strader acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Strader closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Mica is breathing heavily.
Strader throws an elbow but Mica slips to the side and avoids it well.
Mica tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Strader wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Mica tries to bench press Strader off him but Strader keeps the position.
Strader really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mica. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Mica has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Strader can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
