Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Renzo Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Regis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Amazing. Mike Regis has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Renzo Gracie's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Renzo Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mike Regis!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Aafke Stam and Nard Betker.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gracie shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Regis manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Gracie trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Gracie throws a big right hand that misses.
Gracie wants to pass the guard but Regis is keeping the position.
Regis wants to stand and escape but Gracie is having none of it.
Gracie could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Regis keeping full guard, as Gracie tries to pass.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gracie slips nicely into half guard.

Gracie decides to return to a standing position.

Gracie drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Gracie thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Gracie pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Regis is keeping the position for now.
Gracie in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Gracie decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown but Regis shows good takedown defense.
Gracie is breathing heavily.
Regis wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Regis connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Gracie tumbling to the canvas! Regis pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Gracie was done - good stoppage!
