The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Keane throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Whistler gets a takedown into half guard.
Whistler wants to pass to mount but Keane is defending the position.
Whistler is looking to take a break and control but Keane is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Keane is looking to escape.
Keane is staying active underneath Whistler, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Whistler thows a huge punch but Keane dodges it nicely.

Whistler is working for a kimura but Keane is defending it quite comfortably.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Keane leaves Whistler with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
No luck for Whistler with that takedown attempt.
Whistler looks gassed!
Whistler takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

It looks like John Whistler has been cut.
Keane stuffs the takedown.
Padraig Keane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Whistler.
Whistler throws a head kick that misses
and Keane counters with a low kick, right behind Whistler 's knee.
Keane dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Whistler. That did some damage!

Keane looks to land a combination. Whistler sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

It's a brutal combination of punches from Keane! Whistler is backing up but he can't get away as Keane lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Whistler and ends the fight. Great knockout.
