Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hill connects with a good right hand that stumbles Payne. Payne circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Hill closes the distance and clinches.
Hill crunches a lovely knee into Payne's ribcage.
Hill lands a knee to the body.
Payne tries for a takedown but Hill manages to get underhooks.
Hill has Payne pressed against the cage.
Hill seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.
Payne has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hill is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Hill gets underhooks to prevent Payne's takedown attempt.
Cotton Hill has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robert Payne.
Payne tries for a takedown. No joy.
Hill taking a break, stalling in the clinch.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Hill is pressed up against the cage. Payne has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hill down to the mat. Hill avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

and Hill counters by moving into the clinch.

Payne is fighting off a takedown attempt but Hill is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Payne to the mat. Payne regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hill works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Hill perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Hill is looking to advance position but Payne won't allow it.
Hill is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Hill looking to control and managing it successfully.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Hill can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Payne is looking to escape.
Payne regains half guard.
Payne is looking to improve his position.
Hill is looking to take a break and control but Payne is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Payne is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hill's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hill's back!

Hill takes a big shot to the side of the head.

Hill is rocked!

It looks like Cotton Hill has been cut.
Payne throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Hill!
Oh Hill is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Payne lands a shot to the head.
Payne lands a punch to the side of the head from the back.

Payne looking to break Hill's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Hill remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Payne will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
