PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between lamb chops (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcel Mandic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Mandic's choice of entrance music: :-). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

chops shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. chops showed some decent athleticism there.
chops is keen to just control but Mandic is a slippery customer.

chops is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Mandic doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time chops.

Mandic is defending against the submission attempts here by chops.
chops passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Mandic!

Mandic is squirming around, avoiding chops's attempts to control the action.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
chops looking to ground and pound but Mandic is blocking nicely.
Mandic tries to buck chops off but he can't manage it.
chops fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Mandic wants to try and get back to his feet.

chops working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Mandic looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by chops! Submission of the night perhaps?
