Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jed Masilungan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Masilungan comes to the cage accompanied by Dead End. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut lands for Masilungan. That snapped Liddell's head back.
Masilungan slips under a jab from Liddell.

Masilungan feints and as Liddell raises his hands in defense, Masilungan changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Masilungan's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Liddell really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Masilungan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Masilungan has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Masilungan passes into half guard.
Masilungan moves nicely into side control.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Liddell tries to improve position but can't.
Liddell is trying to escape the position but Masilungan is controlling the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Liddell can do anything to dispel that myth.
Liddell is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Masilungan is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Liddell will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
