The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gurley throws a low kick but Shiroma avoids it.
Gurley misses with a two punch combination.
Gurley throws a right and a left that both miss.
Shiroma checks a low kick from Gurley.
Gurley doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Gurley avoids a punch combination nicely.
Shiroma slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Gurley needs to keep his hands up - Shiroma had a free shot at his head there.
Shiroma takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Gurley throws a nice outside leg kick.
Gurley fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Shaun Gurley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shiroma throws a right and a left that both miss.
Gurley throws and low kick but Shiroma moves out of range easily.
Gurley throws a leg kick but Shiroma sees it coming and moves out of range.
Gurley takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
