Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Superhulk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lyoto Maia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lyoto Maia has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kevin Superhulk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Lyoto Maia!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Aafke Stam and Radbod Blank.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maia throws a sloppy head kick and Superhulk moves out of range easily.
Superhulk looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Superhulk closes the distance and clinches up with Maia, looking for a takedown. Superhulk pushes Maia against the cage but Maia circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Maia slips a jab from Superhulk.
Maia scoring well with a low kick there.
Maia looks to score with a jab to the body but Superhulk is just out of range.
Maia misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Superhulk shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Maia napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Maia sneaks back into half guard.

Maia is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Superhulk pulls his head out easily.

Superhulk seems to be working for a kimura but Maia defends the submission attempt.
Superhulk works his foot free and advances to mount.

Superhulk is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Maia has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Superhulk trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Maia prevents Superhulk from taking his back.
Superhulk can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Maia is looking to escape.

Superhulk goes for an armbar but Maia turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Maia.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Superhulk manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Maia manages to get himself to full guard.

Superhulk slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Superhulk stands and throws Maia's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Superhulk wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Maia, who protects the arm well.
Superhulk gets to mount! Maia was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Superhulk can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Maia is looking to escape.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Superhulk swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Maia is now in Superhulk's guard. A big mistake from Superhulk there, giving up the dominant position!

Superhulk looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Maia is defending well. Superhulk quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Maia has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Superhulk celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
