The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mackey shoots in for a takedown but Bay shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Mackey tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Mackey shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Mackey was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bay tries to lock up and control but Mackey gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

and Mackey counters with a big head kick but Bay shrugs it off.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That was a close second round but I would say that Matt Bay will probably get the nod.

Mackey has Bay pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Mackey pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Bay tumbling to the mat - Mackey dives into Bay's guard.
Bay is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Mackey wants to control from the top but Bay keeps moving.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Bay parries the strikes from Mackey easily there. Mackey is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Bay to escape.
Mackey wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bay keeps working.

Mackey slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Mackey's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

I would just about give that final round to Kraig Mackey.
