Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mike Rob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bird Eye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eye is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Fed Up. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mike Rob!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bird Eye!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Paul Aken and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eye throws a front kick that sends Rob stumbling back into the cage.
Rob looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Rob avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Eye has managed to clinch.
Rob being controlled against the cage.
Rob really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Rob wants to stall.
Eye content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Eye works on Rob's body with a couple of short punches.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Eye breaks from the clinch.
Eye misses with a few strikes there.
Eye throws a nice outside leg kick.

A punch lands to the side of Rob 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Eye rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rob moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Eye scores with a hook to the body. Rob takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Eye displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
No joy there for Eye, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Eye cracks a nice hook into Rob's ribs.
Eye throws a right hand that Rob ducks under and follows up with a left that Rob also avoids with ease.

Eye ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Eye changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Rob moves forwards but Eye connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Rob tries to keep at a distance but Eye has taken the fight into the clinch.
Eye will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Rob up against the cage.

Eye escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Eye lands with a slapping head kick.

Eye pushes Rob up against the cage in a clinch.
Eye works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Eye breaks the clinch.
Eye throws a series of punches but Rob moves out of range.

Eye rushes Rob and presses him up against the cage.

Eye escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rob slips a jab and a cross from Eye.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Eye misses with a wild combination.
Eye rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rob moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Rob clinches but Eye breaks the clinch
and Eye makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Rob really felt that one!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Eye scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Eye throws a right hand that Rob ducks under and follows up with a left that Rob also avoids with ease.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bird Eye dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Eye tries to clinch up.
Eye looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Eye darts in and clinches Rob up against the cage.

Eye pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Danga de danga de dang - Eye scores with a four punch combination!

Eye gets a clinch.
Eye leaning against his opponent.
Eye crunches a lovely knee into Rob's ribcage.
Rob tries to pull guard but Eye holds him up against the cage and eventually Rob drops back down to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Rob blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Eye breaks from the clinch.
Eye misses with a series of wild punches.
Eye scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Bird Eye is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Eye turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Eye misses with a wild combination.
Eye swinging wilding here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Left hook, right uppercut from Eye.
Eye throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Eye looks to land a combination but Rob avoids it well.
Eye throws a right and a left that Rob avoids nicely.
Bird Eye seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rob shoots and misses
and Eye counters with a head kick. That will keep Rob thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Eye tries to clinch but Rob moves away

and Rob counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rob looking to pass the guard.
Rob trying to stand up but can't free himself from Eye's guard.
Eye is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Rob dives into side control.
Eye is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Rob has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Eye looking for a sweep but Rob has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Eye wants to get back to his feet.
Rob prevents Eye from getting the reversal.
Rob won't let Eye get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mike Rob will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Eye's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Eye scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Rob circles away from the clinch attempt

and Rob counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Rob.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Eye is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Rob is controlling him.

Eye throws his legs up looking for a submission but Rob uses it to pass to side control.
Rob controls the position.
Eye gets back to half guard.
Rob works his way into full mount!
Rob wants to control the pace but Eye is squirming around nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Eye bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Rob wants to stand and escape but Eye is having none of it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Eye got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rob has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Eye has managed to get both his arms back between Rob's legs - danger averted.
Rob wants to stand up but Eye is controlling him.

Eye gets to his feet - Rob follows without any prompting.
No joy there for Eye, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rob wants to clinch
and Eye counters with a lovely straight right hand!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Eye lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Rob is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Eye gets a clinch.
Eye wants to stall.
Eye leaning his opponent against the cage.

And that's the end of the fight!
Mike Rob showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Rob has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
