The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bruce walks into a jab.
Bruce shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Campos sprawls well. Campos wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bruce gets slowly back to his feet.
Campos moves in looking to clinch but Bruce pushes him off.
Campos lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Campos looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Bruce moves out of range as Campos strikes.
Bruce shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Bruce was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Campos can do anything to dispel that myth.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Campos trying desperately to get to his feet.
Campos really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bruce. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Campos has worked his way to half guard, taking advantage of Bruce's lack of action.
Campos is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bruce decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Bruce rushes Campos and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bruce prevents a body shot from Campos.
Bruce has Campos pressed against the cage, preventing Campos from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Campos is trying to trip Bruce. He has hold of a leg but Bruce is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Campos persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Campos stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Campos rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bruce moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Bruce feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bruce accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Campos keeping moving, preventing Bruce from controlling successfully.
Campos has a closed guard, preventing Bruce from standing up.
Campos pulls Bruce in to control the position.
Campos wants to sweep here but Bruce controlling him for the moment.

Bruce trying to control the position from guard on top but Campos is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Campos displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bruce.
Bruce fails with the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bucco Bruce. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bruce gets a clinch.
Bruce lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Campos is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Campos is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Campos drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Bruce is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Campos wants to break the clinch but can't.
Campos wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Bruce has him pressed against the cage.
Campos wants to break free but Bruce has control.
Bruce escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bruce steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Campos.
Bruce throws a left and a right that both miss
and Campos counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like Bucco Bruce has been cut.
Campos throws a hook but Bruce avoids it easily.
Bruce closes the distance and clinches up with Campos, looking for a takedown. Bruce pushes Campos against the cage but Campos circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Bruce is breathing heavily.
Campos throws a combination that misses
and Bruce counters with a one-two to the body.
Campos wants to clinch
letting Bruce counter with a right hand.
Campos instigates a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Campos gets underhooks to prevent Bruce's takedown attempt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bruce is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Campos is trying to force a seperation but Bruce has the dominant position.
Bruce is working for takedown but Campos is calmly controlling the position for now.
Campos is trying to break free.
A frustrated look appears on Campos's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Campos breaks from the clinch.
The fighters circling - Campos throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Campos misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Bruce moves forwards but Campos connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Campos drops Bruce with a beautiful combination! Bruce stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Campos is looking for the KO!
Campos fails with an attempt to clinch.
Campos circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Bruce to the canvas! Bruce doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Campos keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alvin Campos!
