Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Retard Strong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walter Jones!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones tries to clinch up.
Strong closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Strong lands with a punch from half guard.
Jones is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Strong pulls his head out easily.
Jones is trying to control but Strong manages to pass to mount!
Strong throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Jones avoids a series of strikes thrown by Strong.
Strong sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Strong can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jones is looking to escape.
Jones wants to control but Strong is having none of it.
Jones is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Jones is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Jones tries to hold on but Strong postures up.
Jones is trying desperately to improve position.
Strong scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Jones?
Strong with shots to the head and body - Jones looks very uncomfortable down there.
Strong raining down shots from the mount!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A nice elbow there by Strong.
Jones keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Jones tries to hold on but Strong postures up.
Strong breaks from Jones's wrist control and lands an elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jones tries to lock up and control but Strong gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Strong cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Strong prevents Jones from getting the reversal.
Strong pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Strong postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Jones in real trouble here! The ref calls for Jones to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Retard Strong!
