Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chris Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hanson White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). White has chosen Cumshots - Dead man`s hand as his entrance music. Chris Griffin could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Hanson White's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hanson White!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Chad Campbell and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Griffin wants it to stay on the feet.
White tries to score with a low kick but Griffin moves his leg out of the way.
Griffin throws out a loose jab but White uses good head movement to avoid it.
Griffin fakes high and swings low for a body shot but White manages to avoid it.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Griffin checks a leg kick.
Griffin misses with a body kick.
White shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Griffin as he jumps to the side.
Griffin misses with a two punch combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Griffin is on the wrong end of a nice combination from White.


It looks like Chris Griffin has been cut.
Griffin lands with a nice body punch.
White shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Griffin throws an uppercut from half a mile away. White sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Griffin lands a nice shot to the body.
Griffin throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent White stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

A looping hook to the body misses from Griffin. White does a little dance to reset his feet.
White moves into range and connects with a jab.
White swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Chris Griffin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Griffin misses the shot to the body.
White takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Griffin darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Griffin scores with a jab. White acknowledges it with a nod of the head.


It looks like Hanson White has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Griffin connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed White momentarily.
White tries to score with a low kick but Griffin moves his leg out of the way.
Griffin catches White with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Griffin cracks White with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
White blocks a jab.
Chris Griffin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

White will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Griffin misses with a hook.
Griffin dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on White. That did some damage!
Griffin steps to the side to avoid the strikes from White.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
White takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

White takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Griffin wants to break free but White has control.
Griffin avoiding damage as White throws knees to the body.
White has Griffin pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Griffin manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Griffin wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but White has him pressed against the cage.

White stalling in the clinch but Griffin improves position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Griffin, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
