I think Bates might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Hmmm... Interesting.... Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sobral has Bates up against the cage in a clinch.
Bates has had enough of the clinch but Sobral keeps him there for the moment.
Sobral tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Sobral misses with an elbow strike.
Bates looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Bates tries to circle away but Sobral has him pinned against the cage.
Bates scores with a nice hook to the head.
Bates wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Sobral has him pressed against the cage.
Sobral has Bates pressed against the cage, preventing Bates from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Sobral has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Sobral tries for a takedown. No joy.
Bates is trying to break the clinch but Sobral is controlling him.
Sobral is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Bates gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Norman Bates has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Benito Sobral.

Sobral tries to close the distance and clinch but Bates swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Bates connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Sobral momentarily.

It looks like Benito Sobral has been cut.

Bates lands a left and a right that sends Sobral crashing to the canvas! Bates dives into mount looking to finish!

Sobral is rocked!
Bates postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Sobral out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Bates goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!
