The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Columbo Gatti and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Svanslos misses with a two punch combination.
A head kick from Svanslos lands but Strangler takes it in his stride.
Strangler shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Svanslos as he jumps to the side.
Svanslos gets the takedown into side control.
Svanslos tries to advance to mount but can't.
Strangler manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Strangler looking for submissions off his back.
Strangler wants to improve his position but Svanslos is controlling well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Strangler is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Svanslos's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Svanslos's back!

Strangler gets his hands free as Svanslos looks to control.
Strangler has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Svanslos has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Strangler is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Svanslos with him. Svanslos is trying to defend but Strangler has an arm under the chin now! Svanslos grimaces and is forced to tap out!
