Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walt Potter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Herkules Smasher!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smasher shoots in for a takedown but Potter shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Potter rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Smasher moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Potter wants to slow Smasher down by chopping away at his legs.
Potter throws a right and a left that both miss.
Potter throws a one two combo.
Potter throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Smasher misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Potter throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Potter leaves Smasher with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Walt Potter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Herkules Smasher.
No joy there for Potter, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Potter misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Smasher fails with a takedown attempt.
Walt Potter is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Smasher looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Potter is fending him off so far but Smasher persists. Nope, Potter circles away and we're back to standing.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Potter lands a slapping body shot.
Smasher looks gassed!

Potter is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Smasher hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
