PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marco Marshall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Terry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marshall comes to the cage accompanied by Graduation Bitches. Terry has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! On his way into the cage it seems that Marco Marshall has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Marco Marshall seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marco Marshall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mike Terry!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Saam Ante and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Terry will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Marshall slaps away a takedown attempt from Terry, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Marshall tries to score a power double leg takedown but Terry sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Marshall somewhat.

Marshall shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Marshall looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Terry with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

and Marshall counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Terry isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Marshall stacks Terry on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Marshall!

and Marshall decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Terry's guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Marshall is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Terry is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Terry throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Marshall escapes and throws Terry's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Marshall cracks Terry with a big right hand but Terry just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Terry is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
