Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jerry Lee Redmond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Masakatsu Ueda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jerry Lee Redmond!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Masakatsu Ueda!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Redmond shoots for a takedown but Ueda saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Ueda throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Redmond misses with a low kick.
Ueda fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Redmond.
Ueda pivots, looking for a leg kick but Redmond is out of range and Ueda settles back down.
Ueda chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Ueda misses with a body kick.
Ueda tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Redmond fails with a takedown attempt.
Redmond shoots in and bounces Ueda off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.
Redmond drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Ueda manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Redmond has Ueda in his guard.
Redmond has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ueda can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Redmond is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Ueda is aware though and is defending well.

Ueda prevents Redmond from getting back to his feet.
Ueda trying to control but Redmond is working from the bottom.
Redmond wants to improve his position but instead Ueda has moved into half guard.
Redmond looking for submissions off his back.
Redmond is breathing heavily.
Ueda content to control rather than advance.
Redmond is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Redmond actively working from the bottom here.
Ueda trying to control the pace.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Let's hope that Ueda has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Redmond wants to improve his position but Ueda is controlling well.
Redmond is trying to stand up here but Ueda is controlling him well.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ueda connects with a nice short shot to Redmond's temple.
Redmond looks like he's trying to stand up.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Redmond throws a nice outside leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Masakatsu Ueda dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Ueda moves in looking to clinch but Redmond pushes him off.
Redmond will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Ueda misses with a low kick.
Redmond shoots for a takedown but Ueda saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Ueda looking to control but Redmond is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Ueda might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Redmond kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Redmond with the active half guard here but Ueda passes nicely into side control.

Redmond pushes Ueda away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Ueda gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Redmond is looking for a sweep.
Ueda wants to lay and pray for a moment but Redmond keeps working.

Redmond sneaks back into half guard.
Redmond is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Ueda pulls his head out easily.
Redmond wants to sweep but Ueda has passed to side control!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Redmond tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Redmond is looking to reverse the position.
Redmond is working hard here to advance position.

Masakatsu Ueda showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Ueda throws a sloppy head kick and Redmond moves out of range easily.
Ueda chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Redmond can pounce on him.
Ueda tries to close the distance and clinch up but Redmond swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A head kick misses from Ueda.
Redmond slaps away a takedown attempt from Ueda, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Ueda throws a leg kick but Redmond sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Ueda moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Redmond drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Redmond is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Ueda is trying to escape and Redmond transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Ueda is forced to tap! Nice work there by Redmond! Very nice indeed!
