The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McNamara throws a one two combo.
Kelly shoots in but McNamara avoids the takedown attempt easily.
McNamara looks to score with a jab to the body but Kelly is just out of range.
McNamara wants to clinch.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kelly.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kelly shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with McNamara but McNamara pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Owen McNamara has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jesse Kelly.
Kelly avoids a punch combination nicely.

and Kelly holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Kelly is looking for a takedown up against the cage. McNamara gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

McNamara wants to stand up but Kelly is controlling him.
Kelly tries to free his leg and advance position but McNamara is retaining full guard.
Kelly postures up and lands a big shot to McNamara's brow.

Kelly stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! McNamara throws up his legs and catches Kelly in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Kelly tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by McNamara! That came out of nowhere!
