PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between NumbaOne Stunna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Elvin Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reyes has chosen D' Awassss as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, NumbaOne Stunna!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Elvin Reyes!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, John Roberts and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reyes tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Reyes slips a jab and a cross from Stunna.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Reyes escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Stunna feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Reyes looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Stunna decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Reyes throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Stunna's waist but Stunna gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Reyes off to one side.
NumbaOne Stunna seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Stunna gets the takedown into side control.
Reyes is looking to reverse the position.
Stunna working away.
Reyes seems a little lost for a moment, as Stunna dominates the positioning.
Stunna postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Reyes is trying to control Stunna's posture but Stunna avoids it.
Reyes is looking to reverse the position.

Stunna working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Reyes avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Stunna.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Stunna stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Stunna fails with a takedown attempt.
Stunna is breathing heavily.
Reyes throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Stunna.

Stunna changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Reyes looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Reyes is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Reyes struggling a bit here.

Stunna working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Reyes tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Stunna wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Reyes really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Stunna. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Stunna working away.
Stunna is looking to take a break and control but Reyes is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Reyes regains half guard.
Reyes trying to control but Stunna postures up.
Stunna is looking to take a break and control but Reyes is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Reyes is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Stunna jumps into side control!

Stunna is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Reyes has escaped the position, nice work there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Stunna thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Stunna has hold of Reyes's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Reyes seems comfortable defending it but Stunna has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Reyes is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Reyes is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Stunna couldn't care less - he's delighted!
