The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Puno thows a left - swing and a miss!
Ickfore fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Ickfore is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Puno throws a series of punches but Ickfore avoids them all with ease.
Ickfore wants to clinch.
Ickfore throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Puno's head.

Puno closes the distance and clinches.
Ickfore can't break the clinch.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Puno.
Puno creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Puno lands a damaging elbow.

It looks like Dennis Ickfore has been cut.
Ickfore lands a hook that snaps the head of Puno backwards.
Ickfore managing to block the knees to the body from Puno.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Puno just misses with a elbow thrown towards Ickfore's brow.

Ickfore pulls guard effortlessly.
Puno is pushing down on Ickfore's leg trying to pass to half guard. Ickfore is fighting to maintain full guard but Puno has managed to sneak the leg through.

Ickfore won't allow Puno to pass to mount.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Despite being in the dominant position, Acero Puno just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A right-left combo lands from Ickfore.

Puno chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Ickfore can pounce on him.

Ickfore closes the distance looking for a takedown. Puno stuffs it but Ickfore still has hold of him. Ickfore picks Puno up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Ickfore slams Puno to the floor and that's really hurt Puno - he doesn't know where he is! Ickfore throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!
