Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rav Kapur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cross David (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cross David has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Rav Kapur's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 1, fighting out of London, Rav Kapur!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Cross David!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Steven Brown and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

David closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kapur did well to prevent David getting side control.
Still in half guard, David seems content to control.
Kapur tries to kick David off but David keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Kapur knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for David on the ground.
David wants to take a breather but Kapur is having none of it.
Kapur is trying to stand up here but David is controlling him well.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
David throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

David fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kapur sprawls well initially but David persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

David is working for a kimura but Kapur is defending it quite comfortably.

David is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

David makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
The strikes coming from David are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Cross David seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like Cross David has been cut.

David changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kapur looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

David postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
David throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kapur could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
