Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Lightning (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Professor Avenarius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lightning comes to the ring accompanied by Hate it or love it. Avenarius has chosen Space Prophet Dogon, Sun City Girls as his entrance music. John Lightning has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Avenarius scores with a push kick.
Lightning tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Avenarius swivels and escapes.

Avenarius has Lightning up against the ropes in a clinch.
Lightning keeps control of Avenarius as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Avenarius breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Avenarius throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Lightning shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Avenarius stalks Lightning and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Lightning's face. Lightning staggers backwards, shaken.
Avenarius pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lightning shoots in for a double leg but Avenarius sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Lightning. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A nice combination there by Avenarius.

Lightning is rocked!
Avenarius fakes the leg kick and cracks Lightning in the body.
Oh Lightning is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lightning is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Avenarius dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Lightning. That did some damage!
Avenarius lands with a nice combination. Lightning backs away looking to recover.
Whack! Avenarius lands a heavy head kick that drops Lightning. The ref tackles Avenarius to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Lightning was done.
