Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Blake Ritter!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ritter tries to close the distance and clinch but Winters swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ritter closes this distance looking for a takedown but Winters circles away.
Ritter is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Ritter shoots in for a takedown but Winters shows good takedown defense.
Ritter is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Ritter shoots in but Winters avoids the takedown attempt easily.
John Winters has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Blake Ritter.
A decent looking cross lands there for Winters.
Winters uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Winters is trying to control. Ritter wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Winters is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

and Winters counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

and Winters counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Winters stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Ritter throws a combination that misses
and Winters counters with a head kick.
Winters scores with a one two! Ritter had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Winters shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Winters is thwarting Ritter's attempts to control the position.

Winters wants to finish this one by submission but Ritter is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Winters.

Winters uses his free foot to push down on Ritter's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Ritter.
Ritter is desperately trying to improve his position but Winters has a good base and remains in mount.

Winters is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Ritter is surviving well by controlling Winters's body position as best he can.

Ritter is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Winters pulls his head out easily.

Winters has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Ritter defend it? Winters steps over the head and cranks it - Ritter is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Winters!
