And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ryuu Takeshi!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Braathen defending well as Takeshi loads up on a big left hand.
A slapping leg kick lands for Takeshi.
Takeshi lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Takeshi throws a hook but Braathen blocks it.
Nice body kick from Takeshi.
Ryuu Takeshi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Takeshi fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Braathen shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Takeshi as he avoids it easily.
Takeshi tries to clinch but Braathen moves out of range.
Takeshi scores with a body shot.
Takeshi scores with the left hand. Braathen knows he should have avoided that one.
Takeshi connects with a right hand. Braathen shakes it off.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Takeshi tries to clinch but Braathen is having none of it.

Takeshi moves in looking to clinch but Braathen pushes him off.

Takeshi dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Braathen is breathing heavily.
Braathen ducks right into an uppercut from Takeshi.
Braathen ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Takeshi moves away.
Takeshi scores with a jab. Braathen acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Oh Braathen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Takeshi throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Takeshi lands with a thumping leg kick.
Takeshi ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Braathen's jaw. Braathen's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Takeshi does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
