Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Faber clinches.
Sambo wants a takedown but no success here.
Sambo drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Faber gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Sambo stops a takedown attempt from Faber.

Sambo is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Faber can't fight it off and eventually Sambo manages to take the fight to the floor. Faber looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Sambo drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Faber dives on top into guard.

Faber is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Faber really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sambo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Sambo is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Faber is aware though and is defending well.

Faber lying in Sambo's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Sambo decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Faber taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
