The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Perkins shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Perkins won't allow Skripplenorth to sweep him here.

Skripplenorth is looking for a triangle but Perkins pushes his legs off easily.

Perkins stands and throws Skripplenorth's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Perkins tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Skripplenorth can't do much from the bottom here.

Perkins decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Perkins looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Skripplenorth swats away the attempt to clinch by Perkins.
Perkins throws an overhand right that lands on Skripplenorth's shoulder, as Skripplenorth tries to avoid the shot.

and Perkins counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Perkins is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Skripplenorth defends it well.
Skripplenorth tries to roll over but Perkins keeps him under control.
Perkins wants to stand but Skripplenorth has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Perkins looks gassed!
Skripplenorth is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Perkins's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Perkins's back!

Skripplenorth working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Perkins is doing well to defend. Skripplenorth seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Perkins is forced to tap and this one is over!
