PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tix Pain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yumi Goro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tix Pain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yumi Goro!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Sano and Tatsuya Matsuyama.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pain looks for a takedown but Goro sprawls well.
Pain slips a jab and a cross from Goro.

Goro shoots in and bounces Pain off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pain controls Goro momentarily but Goro frees himself.
Pain could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Pain managing to control the position.
Pain bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Goro's guard.
Goro really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pain. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Goro keeping moving, preventing Pain from controlling successfully.
Goro is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Pain sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Goro's guard.
Pain trying to mount his opponent but Goro defends it.
Goro wants to control but Pain is keeping busy.
Pain trying to control the pace.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pain trying to pass the guard but Goro defending well.
Pain stops Goro from getting back to his feet.
Goro is refusing to be controlled, as Pain sits in half guard.
Goro trying to control from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Goro takes a swing at Pain's ribcage but misses.
Pain is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Goro lands a body shot.
Goro fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Pain is breathing heavily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Goro connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Pain's hands.
Pain misses with a takedown

and Goro counters with a crisp one two that drops Pain! Goro thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Pain to his feet! Pain is in big trouble!

Pain is rocked!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pain switches off momentarily and Goro cracks him with a monster right hand! Pain topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Goro dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Goro!
