Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Diego Cortisso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kornelio Marek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cortisso comes to the cage accompanied by Pidzama Porno - Zabilem go. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cortisso takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Marek shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Cortisso napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Marek tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Cortisso is trying to control Marek 's posture but Marek avoids it.

Marek lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Marek drops down looking for an ankle pick but Cortisso pulls his leg out and moves away.
Marek shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Cortisso counters with a three punch combo that has Marek backing up. Marek nods at Cortisso to acknowledge the strikes.
Cortisso throws a good cross that connects.
Marek should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

The fight stays on the outside here - Marek looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

so Cortisso counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Cortisso is really struggling to control Marek but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Cortisso throws and elbow that misses. Marek uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Cortisso's guard. Nice move by Marek !
Cortisso can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Marek controls the pace.
Let's hope that Marek has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Marek sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Cortisso's guard.
Cortisso tries to roll over but Marek keeps him under control.

Marek seems to be looking for submissions.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Marek postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Cortisso looks a forlorn figure.

Marek has his hands clasped together but Cortisso extends an breaks Marek 's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Cortisso.
