Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jean Paul Laurent!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gotchi displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Laurent.
Nice takedown defense from Gotchi. No joy for Laurent on that attempt.
Jean Paul Laurent seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Laurent tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gotchi sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Laurent somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jean Paul Laurent. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gotchi throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Laurent on the wrong end of a nice hook.
It looks like Jean Paul Laurent has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Laurent drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Gotchi pushes Laurent away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Laurent gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gotchi is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Laurent's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Laurent is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Laurent will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Laurent is breathing heavily.
Gotchi gets back to full guard.
Laurent missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gotchi has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Laurent off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Laurent fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Gotchi scores with a body shot.
Gotchi cracks Laurent on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Laurent falls backwards against the cage. Gotchi follows up with more strikes that drop Laurent to his knees. Gotchi keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Laurent! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tama Gotchi!
