The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Do throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Do lands a nice shot that snaps Smith's head back.
Do moves out of range of the strikes.
Smith swings and misses with a hook to the body.
JoeSon Do seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Do just misses with a punch to the body.
Smith throws a one two combo.
It looks like JoeSon Do has been cut.
Do scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Do fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Smith checks it well.

Do misses with a takedown attempt - Smith sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Do fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Smith.

Do is looking to wear down Smith with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Smith fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Do looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Smith swats away the attempt to clinch by Do.
Do tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Smith paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Smith takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Smith uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Do.
Do lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Smith circles away quickly and effectively.

Smith stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Do.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Do takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

and Smith counters with a right hand to the body.

Do is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Smith's half guard.
Do wants to free his trapped foot but Smith is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Smith pushes Do off looking to stand but Do dives back in and keeps control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Smith tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Do has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Do has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Do looking to control but Smith is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Smith wants to hold on but Do pushes him away.

Do can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Smith is looking to escape.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee stands the fighters back up. JoeSon Do just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Do takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Do shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Smith but Smith pushes him off and we're back to square one.
