Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Hass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Couture (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hass might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Boats N Hoes. Couture has chosen i got to be unstoppable as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Jack Hass has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jack Hass seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Couture scores with a takedown into Hass's guard.
Couture missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Hass is looking for a triangle but Couture pushes his legs off easily.
Couture is working Hass over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Couture is looking to work some ground and pound but Hass has wrist control.

Hass looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Hass is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Couture is aware though and is defending well.
Couture postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hass escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Couture gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Couture accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Couture slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Couture has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Hass is bucking up trying to escape but Couture cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Couture pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Couture with the ground and pound from mount.
Hass regains half guard.
Hass moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Couture thows a big elbow that misses.
Hass controls Couture momentarily but Couture frees himself.

Couture got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hass has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Couture has managed to get both his arms back between Hass's legs - danger averted.
Hass is breathing heavily.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hass looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Couture must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Couture with a flurry of punches that miss.
Couture pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hass is keeping the position for now.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Couture's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Hass has his foot on Couture's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Couture works his way back into a safe position though.

Hass working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Couture doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Couture manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Hass is pressing down on Couture's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Couture cracks Hass with a solid left hand.

Hass is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Couture defends well.

Couture postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Couture has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Hass to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Couture is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Hass pulls down on the head and he's put Couture to sleep! This one is all over!
