Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brian Coley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and rashad sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Coley comes to the cage accompanied by Disturbed Inside the Fire. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brian Coley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, rashad sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
sanchez is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Coley.


It looks like rashad sanchez has been cut.
sanchez shoots in for a takedown but Coley shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Coley misses with a low kick.
Coley looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

sanchez shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. sanchez showed some decent athleticism there.
sanchez wants to control but Coley is keeping him busy.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Coley swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Coley is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
sanchez shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Coley fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches sanchez on the side of the head.

sanchez shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Coley wants to clinch up but sanchez keeps it at a distance.

sanchez shoots in for a double leg but Coley sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Brian Coley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of rashad sanchez.
Coley connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between sanchez's hands.
Coley wants to clinch up but sanchez keeps it at a distance.
Coley dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on sanchez. That did some damage!
Coley changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. sanchez tries to avoid it but Coley manages to keep hold of a leg and drag sanchez to the ground. sanchez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Brian Coley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Coley lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but sanchez circles away quickly and effectively.

Coley takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Coley is trying to control. sanchez wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Coley lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

sanchez closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - sanchez lands in his opponent's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Coley wants to sweep but no luck.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Coley tries to clinch there but sanchez circles away.

Coley throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck sanchez on the side of the head.

and sanchez decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Coley's guard.

Coley escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. sanchez gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Well Coley has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
