The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perry looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Perry swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Perry throws a sloppy head kick and Pounder moves out of range easily.
Pounder avoids the head kick by Perry.
Pounder throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Perry ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Perry fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Pounder.

Pounder scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Pounder fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Perry manages to avoid it.

A head kick lands from Perry that sends Pounder to the canvas. Pounder tries to scramble back to his feet but Perry brings him back down into side control.

It looks like Jim Pounder has been cut.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Perry tries to pass to full mount but Pounder defends it.

Pounder closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Pounder is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Perry's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Perry's back!
Perry rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
