Fransson has chosen Idas Sommarvisa as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. erik shinault could well score a knockout today. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fransson shoots in but shinault avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
shinault has hold of Fransson's hands but Fransson slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Fransson uses his free foot to push down on shinault's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for shinault.
