Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between David Zubersoft (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boner Patrol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Patrol has chosen Fight now - Ran D as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patrol showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Zubersoft.
Zubersoft misses with a jab, cross combination.
Patrol stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Patrol wants it to stay on the feet.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Zubersoft closes the distance and clinches up with Patrol, looking for a takedown. Zubersoft pushes Patrol against the cage but Patrol circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Zubersoft rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Patrol moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Zubersoft bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Patrol's guard.

Zubersoft wants to stand and escape but instead Patrol has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Zubersoft has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Patrol can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Patrol is trying to control the action in half guard but Zubersoft is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Zubersoft sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Boner Patrol showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Patrol shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Zubersoft as he jumps to the side.

and Patrol counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Zubersoft!
Zubersoft wants to hold on but Patrol pushes him away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Patrol looking to ground and pound but Zubersoft is blocking nicely.
Patrol is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Zubersoft can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Patrol throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Zubersoft might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Boner Patrol is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Patrol avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Patrol is taking a breather. Zubersoft says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Zubersoft is looking for a sweep. Patrol is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Well Patrol has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
