PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cain Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Flair (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Flair has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! The key to victory for Cain Silva has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cain Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shane Flair!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Russell Pearce and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Flair throws out a loose jab but Silva uses good head movement to avoid it.

Flair throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Silva's waist but Silva gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Flair off to one side.
Silva keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

That was a close round but I would say that Cain Silva will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Flair has control of Silva's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Silva regains control of the situation pretty easily.
