The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Precies fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Precies looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Mirovic drives through with a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Precies keeping moving, preventing Mirovic from controlling successfully.

Mirovic stands up from Precies's guard - Mirovic perhaps looking for a knockout.
Precies wants to slow Mirovic down by chopping away at his legs.
Mirovic lands with a nice body punch.

Mirovic rushes Precies and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Mirovic works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Mirovic is stalling in the full guard.

Mirovic passes Precies's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mirovic trying to control but Precies is working from the bottom.

Mirovic stands and steps away. Precies gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Precies misses with a takedown

and Mirovic counters with a nice double leg into side control. Precies won't be happy with that.
Mirovic landing strikes.

Mirovic decides to stand up, so the ref orders Precies to his feet.
Mirovic will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

and Mirovic counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Precies's guard now.
Adam Mirovic has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Piet Precies.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Mirovic wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Precies, who protects the arm well.

Mirovic is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Precies looks calm but he's in trouble here. Mirovic gets his head over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Precies is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Mirovic lets go of the hold and Precies can pop his arm back in it's socket.
