Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hammer Time (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dante Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Dante Silva enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Silva trying to control from half guard but Time is working away.
Silva is thwarting Time's attempts to control the position.
Silva is trying to control the action in half guard but Time is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Silva gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Silva keeps the fight on the outside.
Time misses with a body kick.
Silva shoots in for a takedown but Time shows good takedown defense.

Time doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Silva counters with a nice double leg into side control. Time won't be happy with that.
Time is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Silva wants to control but Time is keeping him busy.
Time prevents Silva from improving position.
A lull in the action here.

Time is looking to regain half guard here but Silva keeps moving and retains side control.
Time is working hard here to advance position.
Silva is looking to take a break and control but Time is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Silva shoots in for a double leg but Time sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and Silva counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Time's guard now.

Silva trying to control but Time is working from the bottom.

Silva drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Silva jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Silva trying to control the position from guard on top but Time is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Silva got a little sloppy there for a moment and Time has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Silva has managed to get both his arms back between Time's legs - danger averted.
Time keeping moving, preventing Silva from controlling successfully.
Silva might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Time kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Silva passes into half guard.
Time trying to hold on to Silva's head to control him but Silva postures up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Time scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Silva makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Silva.

Time avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Silva is trying to control the position but Time postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Time is trying to maintain the position but Silva is very close to passing his half guard.
Time is in trouble now - Silva has advanced to mount!
Time knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Silva on the ground.

Time wants to control but Silva is having none of it.

Silva is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Time has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Time is controlling an arm, preventing Silva from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Time can't escape the position.

Silva working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Time turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Silva off and cradles Time's limp body as Silva celebrates with his corner.
